Description of the flag

The flag of Greek Democratic Army was white with a white triangle with a red border, inscribed in a blue ring, itself inscribed in a white triangle with a red border.

Greek Democratic Army was constituted by Greek partisans who struggled against the English oppressors between 1945 and 1949. In 1949 the English army (in collaboration with the USA) won the war against Grrek Democratic Army.

Greek Democratic Army was earlier named ELAS (Ellinikos Laikos Apeleyterotikos Stratos, Greek People's Liberation Army) in the years that they fought against the German occupation (1941-1944).
